Music and song in Islam

Music and song in Islam - Music and songs are part of the art which is almost inseparable from human life, from the simple chanting his mother who was a lull, the sounds are played by shepherds in herding cattle up to the music and the song is played in full in order to provide entertainment. No one else in any community of his time who left the music and songs, as well as Muslims. When the companions Nabawi mosque chanting "Oh God ... this is real life hereafter ... so forgive the Ansar and muhajirin", even so historic is humming Ansar women who welcomed the arrival of the Prophet with a hummed Shalawat Badr.

Problems of music and song is not all scholars have the same attitude and outlook, there is a forbidden and there is a permit. Some scholars who forbid music and songs such as Ibn al-Qayyim, Ibn Taymiyyah, al-Albani and others, they refer to the Qur'an and hadith, but from the verses of the Qur'an and the Hadith is apparently no one who can be proof on the prohibition of music and song.

The scholars agree about the illicit nature of the song that contains evil or wickedness and disobedience invited, although only a greeting song. They agreed on the permissibility of the song that does not use musical instruments and other instruments (acapella) that was delivered at the times that syariat excited as the holiday and the wedding day.

"What is lawful by God in his book it is halal, and what is forbidden is haram, then accept all the enough of God, because God is not likely to forget about something." (Surah Maryam: 64)

"Verily, Allah requires obligatory things, do not you eliminate and restrict the boundaries shall not break them, and forbid something then do not break it and he silence over everything was a blessing for you then do not forget so do you look for it . "

It is clear that the legal basis for everything in Islam is permissible unless expressly forbidden, so it applies to music and songs, the law essentially is permissible / allowed. Some songs are not ikhtilaf skill like songs that mention the glory of God, praise Him praise, praise to the Prophet and the Companions and the song that raises the spirit of heroism (can be sung alone or together) is an acceptable and commendable.

Permissibility of singing (songs and music) and do not make excessive and go beyond our limits, because it is for Muslims who listen to music or as an actor and song should pay attention to the following:

First: Lyrics of the songs sung
Not every song is permissible in Islamic Shari'ah. The song is a song that allowed the poem / lyrics are not opposed to aqeedah, morals and the Islamic Shari'ah. Lyrics containing doubts about faith, creation, and the history of doomsday prophecy, physical exploitation (especially women), and the things that contain disobedience to God is forbidden.

Second: This instrument is used
Singing accompanied by musical instruments or without some controversy among the scholars since the first period. As has been disclosed in advance that the basic laws that apply in Islam is that everything is permissible unless there is basically a clear prohibition. With this provision, the musical instruments used to accompany singing a good song is basically allowed. While the instrument agreed upon by jumhur  can scholars is dhuff (musical instrument that is struck). The musical instruments are forbidden to listen to it, the scholars differed from each other. One thing agreed upon is that all devices are forbidden if neglected.

Third: How / style appearance and Supporting Activities
Should be kept to maintain appearances of things are forbidden Personality 'as tabarruj, not keeping the genitalia, and to note performance style so as not to cause lulled by the motion and forget the meaning is conveyed. In music and song activity was also not accompanied by something forbidden, like alcohol, drugs, ikhtilat, and other things which are activities of disobedience.

Fourth: The intensity of interaction
Music and song as anything else is allowed, shall be limited in the absence of redundant elements. "Allah loves not the excessive." (Surah Al'A'raf: 31). The intensity of interaction with the permissible not to exceed the intensity of interaction with things in sunna especially with the mandatory. Ibn Muqaffa said: "I have never seen too much action, but in which no rights are removed."

Fifth: Something Relating to Listeners
Rasulullah SAW said: "It is a good deed can make the heart and soul to be quiet, while sin is that makes the heart and soul not calm even fatwa" (Narrated by Ahmad). Each one is more aware of himself than anyone else, when he felt the music and the song control his lust, imagining him, causing the opening of the door into the hearts of sinners, religion and akhlaq, then ask in your heart .....
